Invoice Discounts in DoggieDashboard

In Spring 2026, you’ll be able to create unlimited invoice lines per invoice (instead of the current 10-line limit).

As part of this change, we’re moving toward using discounted invoice lines rather than a single discount field at the bottom of the invoice.

This approach gives you more flexibility and clarity — you can use negative invoice lines to name and describe your discounts (for example, “Military Discount”), making it easier for clients to understand exactly what they’re receiving.

To get started, select “CUSTOM INVOICE ITEM” from the dropdown list. Enter a name for the discount, then input a negative amount. Adjust the quantity if needed — that’s it! The invoice will display the discount as its own line, helping you clearly communicate the type of discount you’re providing instead of using a generic “Discount” label.

If you regularly use the same discount, you can save it in the Invoice Items section to reuse in future invoices.
