Dog Daycare Business Profit Forecasting Excel Spreadsheet

Running a doggie daycare business can be a very profitable venture, if done correctly. If you're looking for a way to forecast the income of your future doggie daycare, give this spreadsheet a try.

It's super simple to use. Here's how:

Step 1: Fill in the financial assumptions fields. These are your guestimates about how much you'll pay for rent, utilities, marketing, etc during the course of a year.

Step 2: Once you've filled in your business financial assumptions, you'll need to guestimate your monthly employee hours. If you're not employing anyone, you can put $0, but if you're going to have an employee or employees, then payroll will be one of your main expenses.

Step 3: Fill in the business startup cost cell in C32. This is the amount of money that it will cost to build and open your business. There's always going to be supply purchases to get a business going and this is where you put those one-time fees.

Step 4: Play around with the different values in the yellow boxes to get a feel for how you can adjust your profitability. Maybe you want to charge a little bit more for daily daycare and try to find a place that charges a little bit less in rent. Remember, all values in the yellow boxes can be changed.

Step 5: When your yearly net profit goes from red to green it means you've paid off all your expenses and you're starting to turn a pure profit!
